A few more butterflies for your enjoyment. In the second shot, I was taking a picture of the small purple flowers and my butterfly friend came fluttering into the frame. Nice timing. I like how he is out of focus. the third shot looks like he has his headlights turned on. If you enlarge the shot you can see his antennas look like they are lit up on the end.

How fun that the butterfly came to you. Maybe it's "Fred" from your past post of the caterpillar?! I like the glowing antennae.(sp?)
Enlarging each of the shots really shows the detail. I think the glowing antennae are perfect for the searching butterfly.
Love these.... and yes, I can see the "headlights". How cute!

The butterflies are spectacular! They look larger that life, very bright. The narrow depth of field really works in these.
I love how the most fickle flighty animals sometimes pull tricks that end up giving you photos you couldn't have planned out better :)
