"M" is for Mantis. On a recent walk I discovered this guy in the grass checking me out. I thought I would do the same and check him out!

We used to keep them for pets as kids. That is until they escaped
Mr Mapper - when you enlarge that shot it's awesome! I've never been up close and personal to a mantis before - they appear to have 'alien' heads.

We had a run-in with a mantis on our last photo shoot. Salty & Chad got much better pics of it that I did. Ours was a really bright green - yours looks brown. Such a fantastical looking creature, no matter the color!

I've never seen one in the flesh. Their heads appear to be half human, half alien. fascinating creatures and you've captured it really well.
we don't get things like that round here - grasshoppers I guess are the nearest creatures.
