Basking in the Sun

During our Apple Hill trip we still seemed to find some flowers in bloom. All the remaining flowers seemed to be enjoying basking in the fall sunshine knowing that their time was coming to an end.

I love this picture. The Flower is so vibrant and seems to be smiling in the sun as it catches the last warm rays. The spiderweb glistening in the background is cool.

Beautiful shot! I love the way you took it from the side - and not "front on". The color on this is absolutely stunning!

Vibrant color and I like the angle of this. It gives the picture a 3D quality. Good dark background to showcase the flower.

Vibrant colors against the blurred dark background works great for this shot. Well Done!

I gotta admit, I'm a flower nut, and this photo is beyond beautiful. My grandmother always planted a big patch of cosmos in her garden, and now sometimes the road departments plant big patches of them in the interstate median strips. They've always been a favorite; the picture makes me smile.
