"Q" is for Quarters from all 50 states. Since 1999 the US Mint has produced a different quarter every ten weeks. Over the last 10 years they have produced 45 different coins and only have 5 more to go. It is always fun to look at your change and see if you got a new quarter.

Living in England I never knew there was a different picture for every state. How cool.
OK ...very creative....but you know all the quarters aren't out yet! we still have a few years to go to get them all done....I love your photo!
mike has already said what I was going to say!
but neva's comment changes the concept
i gather from what neva says it isn't that each state issues its own coinage but that each year a different state is featured on the national coinage
now I want to know - is it only the design of the quarters that changes each year?
Interesting
i was going to do Quarters too but yours is much better. I gave up on the quarters very nice thought
That's a good idea.
Nice collection too.

Nice collection. Do you save the new nickels as well? Very good choice for representation of "Q".
If you pay 4 quarters, do you get the whole thing??lol.
What a great Q day photo.
come see my village stroll.
Brilliant 'q' post. I hope you get those last 5.
Shiny quarters - very fitting 'Q'.
Do you think you'll ever get a 99 cent coin? There was some talk here in the UK of a 99p one to save giving all those penny's in change. :)
I never thought about quarters for Q. Good idea. I collect state quarters too, but the "P" quarters are the hardest to find since I don't live on the east coast.
Only five more to go? I'll miss this series, but I guess they're starting up a new one with presidents?
I just saw a Wyoming one in change the other day. Great idea for a "Q" post :)
