Stones of History

Some may think I am a little weird, but one of my favorite places to take pictures is old cemeteries. I often find myself thinking about the people that were laid to rest and what life must have been like back in their day. Take a look at the date on the stone. He died in 1886 and was born 58 years earlier in 1828. Life was much different in 1828.

I'm fascinated by cemeteries too. It must run in the family.
Great composition and the detail is really good when enlarged.

Interesting how they stated it..."George Hall DIED". I thought the "DIED" font was interestingly pronounced.

History is facinating.

I also take pics in cemetaries, I have one pic of a headstone in the form of a lamb for a 3 year old child who died about 100 years ago, I may have posted a pic a while ago.
